Store Credit Terms
For customers of businesses running Bungee. Last updated August 29, 2026.
Plain-English summary: When you pay by card at a participating business, the card fee you paid comes back to you as credit at that business. It is real money at that store, tied to your phone number. Give your number next visit and it comes off your bill.
1. What the credit is
The credit equals the card fee you paid on your purchase, and it is issued by the business you bought from. It works like a gift card balance at that business: it spends there and only there.
2. How you use it
Give the same phone number on your next visit. The business looks up your balance and applies it to your bill. No app, no card, no account to create.
3. What it is not
- It is not cash and cannot be withdrawn or transferred to another person or business.
- It is not a discount on the current purchase; it is credit for your next one.
- It does not change what you paid your card issuer. Your card statement shows the amount the business charged.
4. Expiration
During the pilot, credit does not expire. If a business ends its program, it remains responsible for credit already issued; ask at the counter.
5. Your privacy
Only your phone number and your balance at that business are stored, nothing else. See the Privacy Policy. To have your record deleted, ask the business or email jshapiro318@gmail.com.
6. Who stands behind it
The business that issued the credit does. Bungee provides the software that tracks balances; the credit itself is the business's promise to you.
Note: These pilot terms are a working draft prepared for review by counsel and will be finalized before general availability.
